In underground mine tunnel construction, anchor rod and mesh support systems are pivotal for ensuring structural stability and mitigating safety hazards. The quality of this work directly impacts overall construction safety and efficiency. Traditional manual methods not only entail high labour intensity but also yield inconsistent support quality, while the harsh working environment poses significant safety risks.
To address this industry challenge, Uniroc has introduced the rock bolting rig MT551, jointly developed with the Changzhi Mining Research Institute. This equipment enables highly efficient, integrated operations for the entire process of drilling anchor holes in the roadway roof and side walls, installing mesh, and fitting anchor rods. It significantly reduces manual labour intensity, enhances the stability of support quality, and substantially shortens the duration of support operations.
Rock Bolting Rig MT551
Scope of Application: Suitable for anchor rod support operations within non-coal mining tunnels and hydraulic engineering tunnels with cross-sectional areas ranging from 7 to 30 square metres.
Key Features:
1. Compact dimensions: 8.1m long, 1.3m wide, 1.95m high, accommodating a minimum working cross-section of 2.6m × 2.6m;
2. Equipped with a 15kW rock drill for rapid hole-making;
3. Modular split-body design facilitates easier cage entry and exit;
4. Features automatic drilling and automatic drill bit anti-jamming functions to extend drill tool service life.
The cross-sectional dimensions of a gold mine project in Guizhou measure 4m × 3.9m. The rock strength coefficient at the working face is F4-6. Anchor bolts measure 1.8 metres in length with a hole depth of 1.9 metres. Installation of a single anchor bolt requires 1.5 minutes, enabling the completion of 13 to 15 anchor bolts per hour.
